Top 12 Boudoir FAQs Answered
With Boudoir comes many, many questions! & I am here to answer all of them. Didn’t see your question here? Leave a comment with the questions you have and how to reach you so I can do my due diligence!
Can my images stay private or will they be shared?
The choice is yours! If you’d prefer to keep all of your images private, I will of course respect that choice. Your privacy and comfortability is my top priority. Each client I photograph signs a “Model Release Form” which allows them to select whether they want their images to stay private or they allow me to share them. I am so grateful for those that do allow me to share their images, as it shows other women that have not experienced boudoir before what their images might look like. But again, this is 100% your choice and dependent upon your level of comfort with image sharing. And you don’t have to decide until you see the final images!
Is Lingerie Required?
Absolutely not, babes! You can wear lingerie, a cocktail dress, a t-shirt or button up, just a sheet, or nothing at all. The options are endless! Whatever you feel comfy in is totally fine. And don’t forget, we have a huge client wardrobe with over 75 pieces in all different sizes, shapes & colors for you to borrow during your session!
Are Payment Plans Available?
Yes, Ma’am! Actually, most of our clients hop on a payment plan because it just makes more sense for the budget to spread payments out over time, then by the time your session rolls around it’s all paid off and no need to swipe a card for a large purchase at the end. It’s like a pre-paid gift to yourself! Of course you’re also welcome to make a lump sum payment, just keep in mind the balance is due at least 30 days prior to your session date. We also accept all major credit cards, PayPal Credit, and AfterPay!
Do you include Hair & Makeup Styling?
Girl, yes. I would be doing you a disservice if it was not! Feeling and looking your best for a boudoir session starts with glam by our amazing Makeup Artist Jovana Combs Beauty. She is truly the best, and she’ll provide touch-ups throughout the shoot if needed, help with outfit changes, and HYPE YOU UP throughout the shoot! Think of her as your built-in best friend the day of.
How Much Editing do You do?
I will apply my style of edit to the images, and typically my retouching includes skin smoothing and removing temporary blemishes from your skin. If you want more or less editing, please let me know. I want to be sure you love your images, so I will edit with your preferences in mind. We will talk about editing at your viewing appointment in more detail once you see the images.
Where do get outfits?
Firstly, shop your own closet. What items do you have in there that make you feel sexy, confident, just good? Bring them! Check your spouses closet, too, if you have one. Maybe there is a shirt you love to steal or love to see them in that you want to incorporate. When it comes to shopping, these days most lingerie stores are online. Kind of a bummer, I know. But some of my favorite places to shop online for lingerie for a boudoir session are SavageX.com for all body types, BlueBella.us for luxury styles, and Yandy.com for unique looks. If you go down the SheIn rabbit hole, just be sure to read reviews and be prepared for the pieces to be one-time use LOL.
What types of print products are available?
We offer a variety of luxury products, and our most popular are albums and metal prints that our clients love. The albums range from 5x5” to 12x12”, and these are our clients’ favorite printed options. Metal portraits start at 8x12” and go up to 24x36”, so how boujee do y’all wanna get?? And I know you’re gonna ask, so, YES you absolutely should be putting up your boudoir photos in your home! They are magnificent to look at and will truly continue to build your confidence up as you look at them daily.
Do you offer Digital files?
Each Collection includes printed products, and most of them include Digitals as well. We also offer Digital files A La Carte if that’s all you want, or you want to add it on to another product.
How do I calm my nerves?!
Girl, breathe! I know it’s scary to be like, “let me just dress down to my undies and let this lady take my pictures…” LOL but trust me, once you do it, you’ll be kicking yourself for not doing it sooner. Nerves are absolutely normal because this is such a vulnerable experience. Once we start shooting, the nerves will melt away and it will just feel like friends hanging out and hyping one another up.
How many outfits should I bring?
Your session includes 2 outfits changes, but you can totally add-on more. Bring at least 3, and I may be pulling options from my client closet for you to try on once I see you in person!
Should I arrive to my shoot early?
A good rule of thumb is try to arrive 10-15 minutes early so we can get settled, plan for finding parking, or traffic, and that will help avoid any stress of feeling behind or late!
Where is the studio located?
We are located in Historic Downtown Oregon City right along the Willamette River! The location of the studio is so beautiful, let me know if you want to know more about what is around us to check out!
