Why you should hang your boudoir wall art
I hear a lot from clients before their session, “I can’t put up wall art because I have kids,” or “people come into our room a lot so I can’t hang anything too risque,”. I get it, I do. As a mom myself, I know the sensitive nature of showing off your boudoir images in your home. But also, as a mom, I want my children to know I feel confident in my own skin. I want them to know I embrace my body and honor it daily. So for that very reason, I choose to hang my boudoir portraits in my home. I want them to see how it affects me to see myself in photos, how it allows me to love myself more and more each day. I want my kids to say, “my mom loves herself,” when their friends ask why I have photos of myself like that in the house. Ultimately, the choice is yours. And I made my choice. But I’d like to chat more about why wall art is so important to me for my clients.
Wall art is something you will look at daily, sometimes more than once, maybe several times in the day. The power of hanging your boudoir images in your home is part of why boudoir is amazing. You can gaze at your favorite images over and over again and remember. Remember how you felt before your session, why you did it in the first place, remember the session and weird poses I had you do, and then remember viewing your images for the first time and seeing yourself in a whole new light. Remember the feeling of renewal, remember how you vowed to yourself you’d never let yourself feel the way you did before your boudoir session. Because now you are unstoppable. That feeling will grow and grow as the years go by because you will have that daily reminder of the badass you are, with a simple piece of metal wall art you hung up.
The images you choose for your wall art don’t have to be naked, they don’t have to be of your butt, they can be of your face, a smile, or the kinkest photo we got; the choice is yours! There are so many options because you know I will get you a variety of images to choose from.
